A US Health Care Major - Application Enhancement
and Maintenance
The healthcare information management system
will manage every segment of the healthcare environment.
The application which has been designed and developed
on open systems environment is capable of both
retrieving clinical and financial data across
the application for specific patient. It also
reduces complications and medical errors, optimize
patient flow, identify causes of problematic outcomes,
and enable the secure exchange of clinical information
within an enterprise or across a community.
To enhance the existing application by adding
new functionalities and also maintain the application
to make it an error free. The requirements also
included to integrate the enhancements and changes
with existing application and check for its performance
as part of an application. The requirements were
developed using BPMS component which uses the
underlying framework as J2EE.
The new requirement was developed as per the
specifications provided by the customer and maintenance
of the application was done according to the issues
raised by the customer through' defect tracking
system. The requirements were implemented and
tested with test environment setup similar to
production environment, and on acceptance of changes
in source code were recorded onto source control
(configuration management) application. The project
status was updated to the customer twice weekly.
The issue calls were conducted weekly once with
the customer to find resolution.
